Lake Dunlap Spillgate Failure

Tue May 14, 2019

The Guadalupe River is the source of water for Lake Dunlap. Tuesday May 14, 2019 one of three spill gates failed. This caused the lake level to drop by 60-70 percent. This has caused the main body of Lake Dunlap to revert to its original Guadalupe River shape.

If you are coming to float the Guadalupe or Comal Rivers, they are a short drive (3 to 4 miles) upstream and are open for business.

All other Attractions in town are open to include Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns & Wild Life Park, Landa Park & the Spring fed pool.

* Bamboo Haus & Lakeside Suite, both front the main body of the lake, now the Guadalupe River and is accessible for fishing or kayaking. Bring your fishing poles or kayaks, no boats.

Please call us 830-832-3530 or email us with any questions. We thank you for considering our properties.
