Lake Dunlap Spillgate Failure

Tue May 14, 2019

The Guadalupe River is the source of water for Lake Dunlap. Tuesday May 14, 2019 one of three spill gates failed. This caused the lake level to drop by 50 percent. This has caused the main body of Lake Dunlap to revert to its original Guadalupe River shape. You have access to the river about 2 blocks away from the cottages at our Cloud Lane Location.

If you are coming to float the Guadalupe or Comal Rivers, they are a short drive (3 to 4 miles) upstream and are open for business.

All other Attractions in town are open to include Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns & Wild Life Park, Landa Park & the Spring fed pool.

In addition to our pool, our Wundercove Cottages offer access to the Guadalupe River through our Cloud entrance a 4 block drive. Here you may fish, kayak, swim or just hang out. There are some picnic tables and benches along the waterfront.
